Tsakani Nola Mashaba holds a post graduate Honours Degree in Organisational and Consumer Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Cape Town. She is an alumni of the 2014 Mandela Washington Fellow for Young African Leaders, a President Obama initiative. She is the inaugural UN Ambassador of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED) in South Africa and currently looks after 48 African Countries as the WED Africa Regional Ambassador. She is responsible for the ABN’s Corporate Social Investment portfolio and an advisory board member of the ABN Education Trust and The Experience Factory.
Nola currently serves as Group Head of Corporate Communications and stakeholder relations at Africa Business News (ABN Media group - a parent company of CNBC Africa and Forbes Africa) with over 14 years of work experience. She is comfortable engaging in business and commercial discussions whilst presenting corporate positions externally and the handling of key stakeholders.
Nola is passionate about advocating for the work of women business leaders and entrepreneurs alike, addressing relevant issues regarding challenges that come with WOMEN doing business in the African continent. She is committed to the Women Entrepreneurship Day (WED) advocacy movement where WED ignites women leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to initiate startups, drive economic expansion and advance women economic emancipation worldwide. This is a Global initiative where women from different backgrounds get together to educate, celebrate, support and empower other women.
